Personalized Lab Testing

Similar clinical symptoms can have very different underlying causes

As a functional medicine practice, we incorporate personal lab testing into patient assessment to help understand the root cause of your health issue(s) which contribute to illness or chronic disease. Functional changes in your body can occur long before disease is evident.

Functional testing can uncover early warning signs for disease. This is ideal for prevention-focused practitioners and patients concerned about finding the root cause of their problem(s) and the reason(s) they do not feel well. Functional testing, coupled with traditional testing, provides important information to help us uncover your body’s specific imbalances that can negatively affect your health in many ways.

Personalized Lab Testing

We often start with basic functional medicine testing to get an accurate picture of what is going on inside the body:

  • Sex hormones (estrogen, progesterone, testosterone)
  • Adrenal hormones (cortisol, DHEAS)
  • Thyroid hormones (if symptomatic) (TSH, FT4, FT3, RT3, TPO and TG Antibodies)
  • Vitamin D
Each is foundational to optimal health. These hormones regulate every function in the body. If they are not at their ideal levels and in harmony with each other, the body (and mind) will suffer.

A Key to Great Clinical Outcomes is the Quality of the Diagnostic Data

Lab Testing

All functional medicine testing MUST be done through our center. We have carefully selected the best laboratories in the US to perform the various functional medicine tests.

You may also have traditional lab tests done through our center. The traditional laboratory we utilize offers the latest state-of-the-art instrumentation and testing methodologies. We receive quick turnaround time and no miss-interpretation of orders, as occasionally happens in some smaller laboratories not familiar with the lab tests we typically order. We provide on-site phlebotomy (blood draw) services with competitive pricing for all blood tests.
